Job description
Are you ready to step into a Project Manager role that will make a tangible difference to Defence? Defence Digital is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to join our dynamic team and contribute to driving and overseeing project outputs. As a Project Manager, you will lead projects that support the UK's Defence and make a meaningful impact on our customers.
You will be responsible for driving and overseeing project delivery, ensuring that objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost, and quality constraints. You will play a key role in project governance and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the agreed project outputs are delivered, enabling the realisation of benefits.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and draft the business case and ensure the appropriate benefits realisation strategy is in place and monitor longer term delivery of benefits against the business case.
* Identify and monitor project risks and issues, develop mitigating actions and work with related projects to manage interdependencies.
* Engage with assurance reviews and support action on recommendations and organise assurance processes such as gateway reviews.
* Ensure effective change management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain the project plan.
* Identify and set appropriate project controls and manage performance and report progress to sponsors.
Person specification
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and organised individual with experience in successfully managing low to medium complexity projects. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will need to identify and manage various stakeholder relationships. You should be able to work well under pressure and confidently navigate complex challenges to drive projects to successful completion. Having a verified track record in ambiguous work settings, along with the capacity to prioritise, promptly adapt to changes, and formulate effective problem-solving strategies, is crucial.

Hybrid Working
Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity. Requirements to attend other locations for official business or work in another MOD office will also count towards this level of attendance. Applicants can request further information regarding how this may work in their team from the Vacancy Holder (see advert for contact details). The successful candidate is required to carry out all their duties from a UK location and cannot do so from an overseas location at any time. Please note that will be regular travel to MOD Corsham, AHQ Andover and other industry sites. This post is working 37 hours per week.
