Cherry Professional are on the hunt for an exceptional Customer Service Team Leader to support a Customer Service Manager in leading a high-performing team. If you’re passionate about customer service, problem-solving, and making a real impact, we’d love to hear from you! As a Customer Service Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the team delivers exceptional service and customer-first outcomes. You’ll support daily operations, assist in implementing customer service strategies, and collaborate with other departments to drive continuous improvement
What we're looking for:
2+ years of experience in customer service or a related role (financial services experience is a plus)
Understanding of UK financial services and regulations (experience in high-cost, short-term lending is beneficial)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret customer service metrics for improvement
Adaptable, empathetic, and customer-focused approach
The finer elements of the role include:
Assist in executing and monitoring the customer service plan to achieve strategic objectives
Mentor and support customer service team members to prioritise excellent customer outcomes
Track team performance, customer feedback, and complaints, providing insights to senior management
Work closely with compliance and underwriting teams to ensure customer interactions meet regulatory standards
Promote a customer-first mentality, ensuring vulnerable customers receive the best possible support
