Job Description

Customer Service Specialist Duration: Initially 3 months Hours: 37 hours per week Rate: £16 umbrella an hour (£13 PAYE an hour) Location: Taunton Somerset Council are looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join their Lifeline Team. This will be to cover shifts on a 24/7 rota, an enhanced rate is payable for hours between 8pm and 6am Responsibilities: Respond to all contacts from Somerset Council, including safeguarding from Adults and Children's and will be required to take relevant details and pass onto a colleague within the Customer Contact Team Assess the needs of each contact through active listening, questioning and some scripts to provide the necessary information, guidance, support or services Record in the appropriate system all customer data and service requirements and where required work-flow to the appropriate individual or team Review information held on systems and/or website to identify accurate informationRequirements: Experience of working in a customer service environment or call centre Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to work as part of a team or under own direction
