Cover Supervisor

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to support students and enhance their learning experience? We have multiple positions available for Cover Supervisors in Burnley, with part-time, full-time, temporary, and permanent roles to suit your needs. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for education and supporting students in their learning journey. This key function of this role is to cover teacher and teaching assistant absence across the school. There will be an expectation to deliver and support planning of lessons in the case of sickness, as well as providing pastoral support where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
Manage student behaviour to ensure a positive and productive learning environment
Follow lesson plans and provide support to students as required
Promote a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere
Report any issues or concerns to relevant staff
Ideal Candidate:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic
Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
