Job Description

Controls Engineer My client is a leading manufacturing supplier of cutting machines worldwide. They are seeking a proactive and skilled Controls Engineer with experience in PLC programming. Key Responsibilities: PLC Programming: Develop and implement PLC programs for automation systems System Design: Collaborate with teams to create control systems for machinery and processes. Troubleshooting: Solve issues related to PLCs, electrical controls, and devices. System Integration: Connect PLC systems with other industrial systems for smooth operations. Testing: Test and ensure PLC systems work properly before production use. Documentation: Prepare technical documents, including PLC programs and electrical schematics. Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements for system performance and reliability. Collaboration: Work with engineers and production teams to integrate systems. Compliance: Ensure systems meet safety and industry standards.Required Experience and Skills: 1-3 years of experience in controls engineering, particularly with PLC programming. Familiarity with PLC platforms. Knowledge of industrial automation systems. Experience with HMI/SCADA systems is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot effectively. Familiarity with safety standards. Proficiency in PLC programming software. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software is a plus.Education: HNC or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.Personal Qualities: Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to work independently and in teams. Attention to detail and flexibility in meeting deadlines.Working Conditions: Occasional travel for system installation and maintenance.
