Job Description
Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who employ over 2,000 and deliver leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centres, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently seeking Construction Managers, of all disciplines, to join them on Data Centre Projects in Europe.
You will be responsible for:
* Manage the co-ordination of all CSA, MECH and ELEC work packages.
* Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the Safety Advisor, including set up, management of and closing out of file.
* Management of Site QA in conjunction with the Project Manager and team including set up, management and close out of file.
* Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Planner, Project Managers, Sub-Contractors and consulting Engineer / Architect to Client requirements.
* Management of all day to day site operations
* Direct management of the project team including alignment of all discipline leads to the benefit of project goals.
* Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
* Management of the snagging system ensuring that the supervisors return weekly punch lists where applicable.
* Ensure all Sub-contractor documentation including safety documentation is maintained up to date and filed for future reference.
* Drive the culture of safety and quality through the project.
* Provide the safety and quality leadership as the construction manager.
* Review the weekly progress report before it is issued to all stakeholders. Highlight areas not available, and delays, shortage of design, third party hold ups and percentage
* Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings.
* Close out of all project items including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan – all with the Support of your Project team.
* Issue Daily Report to the Project Manager
* Issue weekly safety stats & project labour projections.
* Hold weekly commercial meetings with the commercial team to ensure all variations are being captured and costs issued to the client.
* Develop and implement company procedures with the Project Managers.
* Ensure change management is handled correctly (Cost & Programme).
* Review drawings and setting out details.
* Produce builders works drawings for services.
* Carry out distribute & close out CSA snags.
* All other duties associated with this construction manager role.
You will need:
* Good strong working knowledge of Construction processes.
* 5-7 years experience as a Construction Manager / Supervisor.
* Trade background or third level education in a relevant engineering / construction manager background.
* Proven track record in coordinating and managing large scale projects.
* Data Centre experience would be an advantage but not essential for the construction manager role.
* EU Passport is needed for the construction manager roleBefore You Apply
