I am currently looking for a Construction Manager for three months, starting in January, to work on a high rise build-to-rent project in Leeds.
Role Overview
As the Construction Manager, you will take charge of on-site operations, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead a team of professionals, manage subcontractors, and act as a key liaison between stakeholders to achieve the project’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management: Oversee daily site operations, ensuring smooth progress and adherence to the construction programme.
Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflows.
Health & Safety: Promote and enforce strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work meets design specifications, industry standards, and the client’s expectations.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to prevent delays or budget overruns.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with the Project Manager, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to align on project goals and resolve issues promptly.
Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on site progress, challenges, and resource requirements to senior management.
Requirements
Significant experience as a Construction Manager or similar role, with a strong track record in high-rise accommodation projects.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and UK industry standards.
Proven ability to manage large teams and coordinate complex project logistics.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisive judgments in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
Proficiency in construction management tools and software.
Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field. SMSTS certification is required
