Job Description

GBR Recruitment Ltd, are proud to be working exclusively with a leading Building & Construction company, recruiting for an experienced Construction Engineering Project Manager (Steel Framework Construction) to lead the delivery of bespoke Construction projects across varying end using industry sectors. The company is growing year on year due to continued market success & they offer fantastic modern modular structures, supplying heavily into the industrial, commercial, hospitality, retail, sports & leisure, healthcare, warehouse & distribution, plus education sectors, offered tailored solutions for storage, manufacturing, sporting activities, dining & more. Duties: * Managing a skilled team of construction project engineers, construction project delivery site managers & skilled construction trade installation teams as required (employed & subcontract). * Supporting the construction sales team with accurate scoping of works & costing of build projects. * Liaising with the end using customer, ensuring quality customer service. * Producing building layout drawings as required using AutoCAD / other in-house design software. * Strong liaison with the procurement team (raw materials, 3rd party services & plant hire) * Effectively managing build team resources as required, in order to ensure build plans can be delivered OTIF to the quality desired. * Delivering projects safely, to a high-quality finish & in line with customer expectations & customer needs. * Managing issues & remedying them, to ensure project delivery timescales are achieved. * Ensuring building standards governance & compliance is adhered to. * Completing project health reviews & implementing any corrective action * Supporting & completing post implementation project reviews along with the integration of any lessons learned into future project delivery, as well as 3rd party project reviews * Involved in internal / external compliance audits & investigations. * Supporting the building maintenance function, when required. * Proactively engaging in the SHE performance & SHE behaviours of the internal project delivery teams & contractors involved in any project on-site, to continuously improve safety practices & standards (CI focused). * Delivering on-site toolbox talks & undertaking serious events reviews with direct reports. * Managing the risk assessments & methods statements as required (RAMS) * Responsible for construction sites housekeeping & safety standards. * Participating & contributing towards RCA & continuous improvement plans (CI). The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous construction engineering experience, gained within construction steelwork installation projects, or within similar built environment project roll outs, adept in both operational & maintenance construction activities. Some exposure to AutoCAD or other design software is desirable (training can be given). Specific Requirements: * Proven construction engineering leadership skills with the ability to influence others to deliver projects OTIF, to a a high quality finish. * Strong structural experience (Steelworks, groundwork preparation, load calculations, building footprint etc.) * Strong construction project experience in engineering & project delivery * Excellent project planning & scheduling skills to achieve set targets. * Degree or equivalent in construction / engineering or other. * Minimum IOSH Working Safely. * Ideally IOSH Managing Safely Certificate (desirable). * Happy to travel UK wide when needed. * Hands on leader of others, used to managing various trades
