The Commercial Manager's Role
The successful Commercial Manager will take charge of all aspects of commercial management for large-scale projects in the hospitality sector, ensuring efficiency and financial control. Responsibilities include:
Overseeing pre-construction cost planning, budgeting, and estimating.
Managing procurement processes, subcontractor agreements, and vendor relationships.
Leading change management, final account settlement, and project closeout activities.
Ensuring robust risk and cost control across all phases of the project lifecycle.
Mentoring and supporting the commercial team to maintain high performance standards.This position requires collaboration with internal teams, designers, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
The Commercial Manager
The ideal Commercial Manager will have:
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 15 years' experience in commercial management, with 5+ years at a senior level.
MRICS (or equivalent) accreditation preferred.
Proven track record in large-scale hospitality or resort projects valued up to $50 million.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
