Job Description
JOB- CNC Setter Operator
LOCATION- York
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £30,000 - £40,000 per annum (Plus overtime)
Premier Group are recruiting for a CNC Setter Operator with either Milling or Turning experience, on a permanent basis, in York.
Experience with Setting and Operating would be ideal. Training can be provided on Programming.
The CNC Machinist will ideally have the following attributes:
Time Served Apprenticeship in Engineering / Manufacturing
Have experience machining and manufacturing precision parts and components
Previous experience working as a CNC Operator / Machinist / Miller / Turner – ideally with experience in XYZ, Fanuc, Mazatrol or Heidenhain controls
Be able to read from engineering drawings
Have previous experience working in a similar Machine Shop environment
Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team
Be happy to work the alternating weekly shiftsThe CNC Machinist will involve:
Working with CNC machinery and producing metal
Running multiple machines – small to medium batch work
Inspecting components as required
CNC Milling or Turning working with varied controls
Reading from engineering drawings
Adhering to company H&S requirements
