Job Description

Interaction Recruitment is recruiting for their client a CNC Mill/Turn Setter/Operator Programmer based in Hemel Hempstead. Salary: £20-£21 per hour (£41,080-£43,134 annually) plus overtime at 1.5x the hourly rate. Join an established engineering company in Hemel Hempstead, specializing in high-quality aerospace gears, complex splined shafts, and precision machining. You'll work in a modern, clean environment as part of a collaborative team, producing small to medium batch, high-precision components for the aerospace industry. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Planning, Quality, and other teams on New Product Introduction (NPI) to develop manufacturing methods for customer designs, including prototype and repeat work. Program, set, and operate CNC Mill/Turn machines and other turning equipment to create components to customer specifications, working with tolerances of ±0.001" (0.025mm) and occasionally ±0.(Apply online only)5" (0.0125mm). Accurately record job timings in the company’s ERP system (Javelin) and maintain 6S standards on the shop floor. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, ranging from small process adjustments to complete re-engineering. Experience & Skills Required Proficient in offline programming for CMZ Mill/Turn and Takisawa CNC Turning machines using Fanuc controls. Experience working with materials such as Stainless Steel, Nylon, Titanium, Inconel, and Aluminium to tight tolerances. Knowledge of EdgeCam programming is highly advantageous.
