Job Description
We are seeking a trained and skilled CNC Mill Turn Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our client's team, programming and setting their Doosan Puma Mill/Turn lathes with 2nd spindle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Programming the machines - Machine Setup and Tooling:
* Set up CNC machines, including loading materials, securing workpieces, and installing tooling and fixtures.
* Select appropriate cutting tools and make tool changes, as necessary.
* Conduct tool offsets and work offsets to ensure accurate machining.
2. CNC Operation:
* Program/Set & Operate CNC machines to produce parts with precision and accuracy.
* Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machines in optimal condition.
3. Quality Assurance:
* Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
* Conduct in-process checks and measurements to verify accuracy and quality.
* Identify and address any issues that may affect the quality of the product.
4. Safety and Compliance:
* Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures, including quality standards and production schedules.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience of Fanuc turning centres (Doosan Puma 4100m & 2600SY II).
* Technical certificate or diploma in machining or related field is preferred.
* Proven experience as a CNC programmer, setter and operator in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling and materials.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
This is an exciting role for a dedicated CNC Mill/Turn programmer at an expanding company.
* Location: Keighley
* Hours: Full Time Monday-Friday 37 hrs per week (early finish on Fridays)
* Salary: up to £38k per annum DOE
