Job Description

Service Care Legal are currently recruiting for a Childcare Legal Officer to join a highly-respected London Borough Council on a contract basis. Please find below further details with regards to this role. ROLE: Childcare Legal Officer LOCATION: West London RATE: £24.14 to 26.14 per hour LTD (DOE and interview performance) CONTRACT: 6 months, 36 hours per week Please note that this would be a hybrid working position. Key Responsibilities: To manage a caseload of up to 13 care cases with no advocacy Assist senior colleagues in managing complex and confidential cases, conducting thorough research, and preparing organized materials. Draft legal documents and attend meetings with counsel, external professionals, and the public. Take the lead in drafting documents, providing instructions to Counsel, and negotiating fees with external solicitors and barristers.
