Job Description

ROLE – Graduate Lab Technician   SALARY - £25,000- £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience) TYPE – Permanent LOCATION – Gloucestershire   My client designs and manufactures specialist products and systems within the Renewable Energy sector. They are looking for a Graduate Lab Technician to join their team in Gloucestershire on a permanent basis.  The Lab Technician will ideally have the following attributes: Ideally be Degree qualified in a Chemistry or a related discipline Excellent hands-on skills, with experience working in a lab Management skills Excellent problem-solving skills  Proven ability to take a leadership role and motivate others Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team  Responsibilities include: Prepare and conduct laboratory experiments under the guidance of senior researchers. Perform testing and analysis on materials and prototypes. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments. Accurately document results and compile data for reports. Support the design and assembly of test setups and prototypes. Solving problems and improving engineering processes Being involved in designing, implementing and overseeing project plans   Liaising with other departments to manage such projects  Ensuring quality and H&S standards are met  Design equipment layouts  Maintaining technical documentation as required  Keeping up to date with reports and developments in inorganic chemistry  Pushing for constant progression for product development and manufacturing techniques   If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
