Job Description
Anderson Knight are currently recruiting for a client based in Motherwell who is looking to add a Cash & Banking Assistant to their growing finance team on a temp to perm basis. This role offers remote working and a salary of £26-29,000 per annum.
* Responsible for accurately recording all incoming and outgoing cash transactions within the company’s cash book, ensuring that all entries are properly categorized, dated, and reconciled for financial reporting.
* Manage the timely and accurate posting of cash transactions to the appropriate accounts in the general ledger, maintaining consistency in records and assisting with month-end reconciliation processes.
* Allocate payments to the correct customer or vendor accounts, ensuring that transactions are matched correctly to invoices, and handling any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the allocation process.
* Oversee the preparation and setup of payments, including processing and scheduling both domestic and international payments in compliance with company procedures and banking protocols.
* Regularly monitor and manage the company’s financial mailbox to ensure that inquiries, payment notifications, and other related documents are promptly addressed and appropriately actioned.
* Provide support to the AP/AR team as needed, assisting with invoicing, payment processing, credit control, and account reconciliation, ensuring smooth operations within the finance department.
