Unit Manager / Senior Care Assistant St Helens £13.11 per hour Would you like a rewarding career where you make a difference to people’s lives every single day Are you passionate about elderly people receiving the support they require Are you a good communicator capable of running a unit overseeing residents and staff Highpoint Care is looking to recruit a Unit Manager to be an integral part of our Care home and ensure our residents are living their best lives! £13.11/hour (Days); Time and a Quarter for Overtime; Double Time for Bank Holidays. Days, 8am to 8pm, 3 days on, 3 days off – Contracted to 42 hours per week. You will benefit from: A welcoming working environment in a luxurious residential home setting. As a Unit Manager you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of a specific unit at the home. You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care, managing a small team of Carers and maintaining compliance with Health and Safety regulations. The role involves coordinating care plans, monitoring resident outcomes, and liaising with families to ensure the wellbeing and comfort of residents. Plus, you will be: Delivering the highest standards of personalised care to residents. A dynamic person who is patient and understanding of those with dementia. Someone who is eager to learn and understands the demands of being a Care Assistant. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication skills, and a compassionate approach are essential to create a safe and supportive environment for both residents and staff. Experience in administering and overseeing medication, and you must ideally have NVQ Level 3, but we will consider people with NVQ Level 2 if experienced. A bit about us: Damfield Gardens, owned and operated by Highpoint Care, is a 67 bed all en-suite residential care facility specialising in dementia care for the elderly. We pride ourselves on person-centred quality care tailored to every resident who resides there.
