Introduction:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Care Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a residential care home in Suffolk. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality care and support for residents, meeting regulatory standards, maintaining full occupancy, and leading a dedicated team. You will be supported by a Deputy Manager, Administrator, and additional operational teams to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the staff team, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion, and empathy.
Recruit, train, and retain skilled care professionals, ensuring person-centred care.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain excellent standards of care.
Oversee the home’s budget, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are effectively managed.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to maintain full occupancy and promote services.
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and all stakeholders, responding to their needs.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of records and administrative tasks.
Monitor the home’s performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Manage and mitigate risks to ensure a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.Skills and Attributes:
Previous experience in managing a nursing or residential care home.
A strong working knowledge of CQC standards with a proven record of working towards achieving Outstanding ratings.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain effective relationships with internal and external professionals, families, and visitors.
A track record of successful marketing and business management within the private care sector.
Passion for delivering person-centred care.
