Role overview for this Vehicle Painter / Vehicle Sprayer / Car Painter / Car Sprayer / Vehicle Prepper / Car Prepper role: We are looking for a Paint and Prep Technician to carry out all Bodyshop work in an efficient and safe manner, to meet the business requirements and maximise workshop utilisation and productivity.
Duties of a Vehicle Painter / Vehicle Sprayer / Car Painter / Car Sprayer / Vehicle Prepper / Car Prepper :
* To accurately undertake the preparation and repainting of motor vehicles
* Fulfil all tasks to the customer's complete satisfaction
* Detect and diagnose any additional faults for further repair
* Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with the retailer, manufacturer and industry guidelines
* Carry out all repairs according to best practice procedures
* Use all paint mixing schemes and drying areas/equipment accurately for all paint repairs
* Coach and support apprentice technicians
* Attend specialised training as required
* internal and manufacturer requirements
* Participate in ongoing training and development to ensure product and service knowledge is up to date
* Contribute to local and companywide process improvements and innovations
* Mentor and provide guidance to apprentice technicians, where applicable
As a Paint and Prep Technician, you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:
* Excellent attention to Detail
* Strong experience in car preparation and painting
* Experience within the accident repair and Bodyshop industry.
* Level 3 qualification or equivalent is an advantage but not essential
