Job Description

Are you eager to land a brand new role for the New Year? Our client in Berkshire are looking for an experienced Capital Accountant to join their team and play a crucial role in their Finance operations. Position: Capital Accountant Location: Berkshire Hourly Rate: £96 p/h (Umbrella) Start: ASAP Hours: Monday - Friday / 9am - 5pm  Duration: 3 months (Possible Extension) Key Responsibilities Monitoring of capital projects, including the analysis and investigation of variances Discussing the preparation of the quarterly capital monitoring & outturn reports.  Responsible for monitoring the current financial position of the service areas and the approved Capital Programme as a whole. Assist with the preparation of the annual and 10-year Capital Programme.  Assisting in the closure of the Capital cost centres, preparation of additions to the Fixed Asset Register and assistance in the production of Capital working papers. Job Requirements Fully qualified accountant, unqualified accountants will not be accepted. Member of a professional accounting body and committed to continuing professional development. Experience of producing CIPFA code compliant financial statements. Experience of working in local government finance. Experience of working at a senior level within a finance department.
