Job Description
CAD Engineer
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, for an experienced CAD Engineer to join their Projects team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse and cutting-edge projects, contributing to both product design and project fulfilment.
The Role
As a CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for a wide range of technical drawing tasks, working closely with project and product design engineers. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Creating detailed AutoCAD drawings, including:
* General Arrangement drawings
* System block diagrams & cabling termination drawings
* Internal wiring diagrams & wiring schedules
* Mechanical assembly & metalwork manufacturing drawings
* Bills of materials & pre-contract drawings7
* Assisting with equipment build, ensuring compliance with technical drawings.
* Allocating drawing numbers and maintaining project/product registers.
* Filing and managing documentation in line with ISO 9000 quality standards.
* Adhering to Health & Safety policies and ensuring compliance.
What We’re Looking For
* Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD, with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Visio.
* 5+ years' experience in a similar CAD engineering role.
* Technical engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
* Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
* Ability to work to established processes with high attention to detail.
