Senior Backend Software Developer - C#, .NET
Location: Remote, to be onsite once a quarter.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum Join our team as a Senior C# Software Developer and play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining our modern booking platform. This role is perfect for someone who combines expertise in backend development, API integration, and system reliability, offering a significant opportunity to impact how our partners and clients connect with our platform.
Day-to-day of the role:
Integrate partner APIs, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable data exchange within our booking platform.
Design, build, and maintain backend systems using C# and .NET v8 to support partner and client integrations.
Collaborate with partners to understand their API specifications, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful implementations.
Monitor and optimise the performance of API integrations to meet Service Level Objectives for reliability and speed.
Implement robust error handling and recovery mechanisms to minimize downtime in API integrations.
Maintain API documentation and establish integration processes, including onboarding, certification, and support.
Work with cross-functional teams to align API integrations with business goals and user requirements.
Adopt security best practices, ensuring compliance with data protection standards across API integrations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in C# and .NET v8, focused on building scalable and maintainable systems.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex API and backend issues, from connectivity challenges to data inconsistencies.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
Experience in creating clear, comprehensive API integration documentation for internal and external use.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, especially for deploying and maintaining API-related updates.
Dedication to delivering high-quality solutions focused on reliability, performance, and ease of use.
Proactive and curious problem-solver committed to understanding and resolving root issues without over-complicating solutions.
Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to team members, sharing expertise on API design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
