NEW BUYER BASED IN LITTLEHAMPTON.
Our client based in West Sussex has a new Buyer to drive supply chain deliverables, optimize engineering inventory, and ensure the successful introduction of new products to market.
As a Buyer you will be responsible for executing various purchasing assignments to support our daily material needs efficiently and cost-effectively.
Responsibilities as a Buyer in Littlehampton.
* Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, repair, and New Product Introduction (NPI) departments to acquire inventory in a timely and cost-effective manner.
* Develop and maintain a technical understanding of purchased products.
* Recommend cost-saving initiatives, including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and volume discount strategies.
* Optimize material availability while minimizing inventory using MRP, Schedule Agreement, JIT, ABC analysis, and other supply chain tools.
Requirements as a Buyer in Littlehampton.
* Experience in a fast-paced, high-mix/low-volume purchasing environment.
* 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing/planning role.
* Previous experience in electronics purchasing is highly desirable.
