Our client, a leader in offender learning, is currently seeking a Business Tutor to join their educational team at HMP Thameside in Greenwich, London. This permanent role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in learners' lives by helping them acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to set up and run their own businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and delivering high-quality business lessons focused on helping individuals to start their own businesses
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement
Assessing learners' needs and developing individualised learning plans
Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure optimal outcomes for all learners
Job Requirements:
A teaching qualification would be desirable or equivalent subject specialist qualification
Minimum Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
Prior experience working with offenders
Previous experience delivering training on starting up your own business/going self-employed
Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
Benefits:
A competitive salary package of £30,000 - £37,000
Extensive annual leave which can be taken throughout the year and not restricted to school holiday times
Regular working hours, 37 hours per week and 1pm finish on a Friday
