JOB- Business Development Manager
LOCATION- Hampshire (Remote but commutable for monthly meetings)
TERM- Permanent candidates only
SALARY- £80,000 - £90,000 and other great benefits
We are looking for a Business Development Manager on a permanent based in the Hampshire area with strong knowledge in the off-shore and subsea industries. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who will hunt out new opportunities, qualify them and create new relationships to support this activity in line with the companies aggressive growth plans.
The BD Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
Degree educated in Engineering or relevant Defence industry beneficial
Capable of managing information organising and planning
A strong Get It done ethos
Great communication with impact on paper and in person
Results driven and detail focused
Natural communicator with ability to influence
Strong team working ethos
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Good organisational and leadership skills
The BD Manager role will involve:
Identify target markets and new customers
Develop relationships with key customers in order to identify and qualify new opportunities
Drive commercially strategic behaviours in other departments to ensure robustness of offerings
Create price build up, using expert inputs estimating functions and present this for endorsement as part of bid review process
Chair relevant bid and contract reviews
Compile bid metrics for reporting into the business
Conduct handovers to programmes on receipt of PO via contract review forum
Be the customer liaison, reporting on project status, schedule, and risks. Communicate with the customer on technical matters, calling for support from experts as needed.
Monitor and report bid deadlines
Occasional international and domestic travel for project reviews on customer sites.
