Job Description

Building & Grounds Maintenance Tech Initial 6-month contract Stonehouse £32-£36k + Holidays + Full time + immediate start RE recrutiment are looking for an experienced Buildings & groundsman for a large engineering company in Stonehouse to join the internal facilities team. The person will have a strong background in both painting, general grounds maintenance and be able to perform a variety of of maintenance and repair jobs in a commercial setting. The Building & Grounds Maintenance Technician will be responsible for prepping, painting, and repairing surfaces, while also handling minor repairs, installations, and maintenance as needed. Externally, the Building & Grounds Maintenance Technician will maintain and improve the appearance of outdoor spaces of the Stonehouse site. They will be responsible for the upkeep of lawns, gardens, hedges walkways, and other exterior areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing. This role involves various landscape maintenance tasks, equipment operation, and seasonal duties. The role * Preparation and painting of interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, doors, windows, trim, and other surfaces. * Perform general maintenance tasks such as mounting notice boards, building furniture, removal of redundant office items and other tasks as required from the Facilities Team. *Weeding, mulching, and maintaining flower beds, planters, and garden areas. *Apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other treatments to maintain plant health and prevent diseases or pests. The Person *Proven expereince of building maintenance & grounds maintenance *Expereince in maintenance role without supervision *Expereince of working at height (IPAF licence desirable)
