Job Description
An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Brake Press Operator to join a well-established metalwork fabrication company in Poole.

Based in Poole, Dorset, we are a trusted and long-established metalwork fabrication company with a reputation for delivering high-quality, precision-engineered solutions to a wide range of industries-including construction, architectural, and bespoke design sectors.
With decades of experience, our team combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to meet the demands of complex and custom fabrication projects.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am - 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm
Salary: £16 per hour + Overtime
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate brake press machinery to bend and form metal components
* Read and interpret technical drawings and production specifications
* Ensure all work meets quality standards through regular checks
* Adjust machine settings as required for different jobs
* Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues
* Work to production schedules and contribute to team targets
* Follow health & safety procedures at all times
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience operating a brake press in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
* Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring tools accurately
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
* Team player with a proactive attitude
* Experience with CNC brake presses
* Familiarity with other workshop machinery (e.g., laser cutters, guillotines)
