Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the financial health of the organisation. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes.
Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and payments in a timely manner.
* Manage accounts receivable, including payment application and Credit Control
* Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
* Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
* Assist in the implementation of new accounting software systems as required.
* Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role is essential.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of accounts receivable and payable processes and general accounting principles.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are a must.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively within deadlines.
* Strong numerical skills with a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
Job Type: This is a part-time role leading to full-time after an initial handover period of 6 - 8 weeks
