Role Overview:
They are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join ther growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in using Xero to manage financial records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing accounts. You will play a key role in supporting our clients, providing them with comprehensive bookkeeping services, and maintaining financial records in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing financial records for clients using Xero
* Processing invoices, payments, and receipts
* Reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial transactions
* Assisting with VAT returns and other statutory reporting
* Maintaining accurate general ledgers and ensuring correct coding of transactions
* Communicating with clients to resolve queries and provide financial insights
* Identifying areas to improve efficiency and reduce costs within clients' financial systems
* Supporting year-end accounts preparation and liaising with accountants as required
* Keeping up to date with relevant accounting regulations and Xero updates
What They’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper (minimum of 2 years)
* Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices
* Proficient with Xero software and other accounting tools
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and client support
* AAT qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
* Previous experience with payroll is a plus
