Job Description

Contact Supervision and Short Respite Support Worker Role Location: Warrington Salary: £15-£18 dependent upon shift length Hours: Varying shift length. 1 hour to 4 hours. About the Role: The role entails contact supervision or providing short respite services. For the supervision aspect of the role this is supervising contact between children and their extended family network where this supervision is deemed essential by the courts to protect the child from suffering ongoing substantial harm or risks. You will provide formal written evidential reports to guardians, social workers, managers, and the courts to inform decision making on the individuals child's future care arrangements. To ensure that children are protected during supervised contact sessions, intervening where required and facilitating contacts which safeguard the child from inappropriate behaviour. In terms of respite this will be taking the child out into the community or providing respite within the home environment to allow carers a break from day to day care. This will involve supporting the young person in an activity and ensuring their basic needs are being met. Vacancy Criteria: Driving Preferred with business insurance, but not essential Child and Adult DBS - on the update service (preferred but not essential as can be completed with ourselves) Previous Experience in a similar role NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent (desirable not essential) References covering the last 3 years
