Bid Writer – Join a Growing Business Development Team!
Due to business growth, this is an exciting opportunity for a Bid Writer to join my clients Business Development team.
This role is crucial in supporting the company’s tender activities and driving future business success.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Work with the bid team during Request for Information (RFI), Pre-Qualification Questions (PQQ), and Invitation to Tender (ITT) phases to develop strong win strategies.
✅ Review tender documents and prepare for bid launch meetings.
✅ Assist the Tender Manager in producing high-quality submissions in line with corporate growth strategies.
✅ Liaise with subject matter experts and conduct external analysis to strengthen bid responses.
✅ Collaborate with central departments (Operations, SHEQ, Transport, HR) to refine tender responses and gather relevant data.
✅ Craft compelling and professional submission responses aligned with scoring criteria.
✅ Analyse client feedback to improve future bid submissions.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Education: A-levels (degree preferred) in a writing-based discipline.
✔ Experience: Proven track record in bid writing, ideally within plant hire, construction, civil engineering, water, or engineering industries.
✔ Skills: Excellent writing, editing, proof-reading, and communication skills.
✔ Organisation: Ability to manage multiple deadlines with strong planning and prioritising skills.
✔ Tech-Savvy: Experience with procurement platforms (Achilles, Ariba, Jaggaer Bravo Solutions) and AI software (Copilot, ChatGPT).
✔ Bonus: APMP qualification and a Full UK Driving Licence.
