iRecruit is currently seeking a Bench Joiner / Door Hanger on behalf of our client, a well established business in the Doncaster
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading company in the industry, with the potential for permanent employment and development opportunities. As a Bench Joiner, you will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality wood products. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of woodworking techniques,door hang, attention to detail, and the ability to work from technical drawings to create precision products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce bespoke joinery items.
* Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood components.
* Manufacture, assemble, and finish custom woodwork, including doors, frames, windows, cabinets, and furniture.
* Operate woodworking machinery such as saws, planers, drills, and sanders safely and efficiently.
* Measure and mark materials accurately to ensure precise cuts and fits.
* Sand, finish, and apply stains or varnishes as required.
* Work with a range of timber and wood-based products to create high-quality finished items.
* Conduct quality control checks to ensure all products meet customer specifications and high craftsmanship standards.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
* Repair and refurbish existing wood structures or furniture, when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.50-£12.75 per hourBefore You Apply
