Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and skilled Band 6 Respiratory Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team based in Leicester. The successful candidate will work within the respiratory service, supporting patients with a variety of respiratory conditions, including long-term respiratory diseases.
Role Overview:
Position: Band 6 Respiratory Occupational Therapist
Location: Leicester
Hours: Full time (part-time applicants will also be considered)
Salary: £26-28 per hour, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients with respiratory conditions
Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to promote independence and improve quality of life
Supporting patients in managing their respiratory conditions through education, exercise programs, and adaptive strategies
Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for patients
Providing support and advice to patients and their families on managing symptoms and maximizing independence
Regularly reviewing patient progress and adapting care plans as required
Essential Requirements:
HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
Previous experience working with patients with respiratory conditions is essential
Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Experience in a Band 5/6 role within the NHS or similar setting
