Band 6 – Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – £27 p/h – Essex
We are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join an NHS Community Mental Health Team based in Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced mental health professional looking for a stable, well-structured contract within a supportive team environment.
Role Details:
Location: Essex
Setting: NHS, Community Mental Health Team (CMHT)
Pay Rate: £27 per hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM (Full-time)
Contract Length: 3-6 months (potential for extension)
Start Date: 10th February 2025
Type: On-site, community-based role
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a caseload of patients with complex mental health needs in the community
Conducting assessments, care planning, and risk management in line with NHS guidelines
Providing crisis intervention and ongoing support to service users and their families
Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams, GPs, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
Delivering therapeutic interventions and ensuring person-centered care
Requirements:
Valid NMC Registration (RNMH/RNLD/RGN) is required
Community mental health experience is essential
Experience in caseload management is highly desirable
A car driver with access to a vehicle is preferred, as this role involves community visits
