The Role:
As an Off-Site Commissioning Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring AV, VC, and UC systems are fully pre-staged, tested, and ready for seamless installation on-site. You'll work closely with the staging and project teams to guarantee high-quality, well-engineered solutions for clients.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Pre-staging and configuring AV systems to ensure full functionality before site deployment, covering audio, video, and network integration.
Taking full ownership of the pre-staging process for assigned projects.
Populating and maintaining pre-staging documentation, including AVIT schedules.
Compiling "As Built" AVIT documentation, including schematics and rack elevations.
Conducting peer reviews of design documentation, and identifying necessary changes before staging begins.
Hosting witness tests and factory acceptance tests to ensure system compliance before deployment.
Managing the RMA process in conjunction with MS Dynamics for defective equipment post pre-staging.
Contributing to the ongoing development of staging processes and workflows.
Assisting with on-site commissioning when required.
Keeping up to date with key manufacturers' products and maintaining proficiency in their setup and configuration.
About You:
You're a detail-oriented AV professional with a passion for precision and technical excellence. Ideally, you'll have experience with:
AV system commissioning - pre-staging, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Networking & AV integration - working with Crestron NVX, Dante Audio, IPTV, digital signage, and control systems.
Documentation & process management - ensuring every system is properly logged and meets required standards before deployment.
Certifications such as QSC, Biamp, Crestron, Lightware, Shure, Sennheiser, Dante are highly desirable.
Additional qualifications like CTS/CTS-I, Avixa training, Microsoft MTR, or network-specific certs would be a plus but are not essential.
