Are you an experienced Auto Electrician looking for a new opportunity with a well-established national bus company? We are looking for a dedicated Auto Electrician to join our team in Carlisle, offering a competitive salary between £35,000 and £40,000 per year, with Monday to Friday day shifts.
As an Auto Electrician, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing electrical systems in our fleet of buses, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and ready for operation. Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair electrical issues in buses, including lighting, batteries, wiring, and control systems.
Perform routine electrical inspections and fault finding across a range of bus models.
Work with electrical components such as motors, alternators, sensors, and circuits.
Ensure that all vehicles meet safety and operational standards.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts used.
Work closely with the maintenance team to minimize vehicle downtime.
Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Auto Electrician, preferably in the bus or commercial vehicle industry.
Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, wiring, and diagnostic equipment.
Relevant qualifications in auto-electrical engineering or vehicle maintenance (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
A valid driving license (preferably with a Category D entitlement, though not essential).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.What We Offer:
