Autism Teaching Assistant Location: Newham Salary: £90-£100 per day (Depending on experience) Start  Time: Immediate Hours: 8:30 am - 4:15 pm Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term At GSL Education, we are seeking a passionate and child-centred individual Autism Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a vibrant school in Newham. The role involves providing one-to-one support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities of the Autism Teaching Assistant (TA) Deliver one-to-one support to students with ASD, focusing on their individual needs. Implement a child-centred approach to encourage learning and development. Assist students in developing communication, social, and independence skills. Collaborate with the teaching staff to adapt and deliver tailored lesson plans. Demonstrate resilience and initiative in managing challenging situations. Requirements of the Autism Teaching Assistant (TA) Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex needs. Strong understanding of child-centred educational practices. Ability to build positive relationships with students and promote a supportive environment. Proactive, resilient, and adaptable in a dynamic school setting.
