Key Responsibilities:
Assist the SENCO in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure effective differentiation and support strategies are in place.
Liaise with parents, external agencies, and professionals to facilitate the best outcomes for students.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEN and provide regular feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff.
Contribute to the development of policies and practices that promote inclusive education within the school.
Requirements:
Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs, Education, or a related field.
Experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting students’ individual needs.
Knowledge of current SEN legislation and best practices.
