Job Description:
One of the fastest growing client side retail and commercial property owners in the UK are seeking an organised and proactive Assistant Regional Facilities Manager with experience in commercial and retail facilities to join our team in the North of England. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of a diverse portfolio of commercial and retail properties across the region, ensuring smooth operations, high levels of tenant satisfaction, and compliance with health and safety standards. You’ll play an essential role in coordinating maintenance schedules, managing vendor relationships, and supporting budgeting and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the day-to-day management of commercial and retail properties across the North of England.
Coordinate preventative maintenance and ensure timely repairs for retail and commercial spaces.
Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to maintain service excellence.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all properties.
Support budget tracking, cost control, and ensure that facilities are operating efficiently within budget constraints.
Prepare reports on facilities performance, maintenance, and tenant feedback.
Address tenant concerns and act as a point of contact for property-related issues.
Help implement sustainability and energy-saving initiatives across properties. Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience in facilities management, particularly in commercial and retail properties.
Strong organisational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
Solid understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and health & safety compliance.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritise tasks effectively.
Knowledge of facilities management software is a plus.
