CV Screen is recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accoutnant for a well-established organisation within the automative sector. The role is office based in Bristol and a salary of up to £35,000 is available.
ROLE DETAILS
In Your role as an Assistant Accountant you’ll play a crucial part in managing financial transactions, coordinating warranty activity, credit control, building relationships with stakeholders, and providing support for finance projects aimed at enhancing our overall efficiency.
Additionally, you will lead and develop the more junior member of staff, overseeing their work to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage Financial Transactions including Conducting daily bank postings and reconciliations, maintaining precise records.
- Support in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts, providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making.
- Provide guidance, support and coaching to more junior members of finance staff.
- Building strong working relationships with both customers and suppliers.
- Tackling one-off administrative tasks as they arise.
- Assisting senior finance staff in various projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
The Assistant Accountant will have the majority of the following experience:
- Previous experience in similar roles, preferably in the automotive sector
- Prior familiarity with accounting software or similar would be advantageous.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- An organised and proactive approach with autonomous workload management capabilities.

Basic salary up to £35,000
