About the Role
As a Remote Assistant Accountant, you'll support the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and preparing reports. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with accounting experience who wants the flexibility of working from home.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable
• Perform bank reconciliations and data entry
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain general ledger and journal entries
• Assist with financial reporting and budgeting tasks
• Communicate with suppliers, clients, and internal teams as needed
What We're Looking For
• Proven experience in an accounting or finance support role
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and financial procedures
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• AAT qualification (or working towards) is a plus
