Job Description

As an Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of assets, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. You will play a key role in developing asset management strategies, improving asset reliability, and supporting investment planning to maximize asset value. Key Responsibilities: Asset Strategy & Lifecycle Management: Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize the performance and longevity of facilities and equipment. Oversee asset lifecycle planning, including maintenance, replacement, and refurbishment strategies. Identify opportunities for asset enhancements and efficiency improvements. Data Analysis & Reporting: Maintain and update asset registers, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis. Conduct asset condition surveys and performance assessments to inform investment decisions. Provide regular reports on asset performance, risks, and budget forecasting to senior management. Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure effective PPM schedules are in place. Monitor asset performance and maintenance trends to reduce downtime and improve reliability. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Financial & Budget Management: Develop asset investment plans and lifecycle cost models. Monitor asset-related budgets, ensuring cost control and efficiency in expenditure. Identify cost-saving opportunities and ways to improve asset value. Stakeholder Engagement: Work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, and contractors to align asset management strategies with business objectives. Provide technical advice and guidance on asset management best practices. Support contract negotiations and performance monitoring related to asset management. Qualifications and Skills: Experience in asset management within the Facilities Management, infrastructure, or property sectors. Strong understanding of asset lifecycle planning, maintenance strategies, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in asset management software and data analysis tools. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Knowledge of relevant regulations, including health and safety and statutory compliance. Education and Experience: Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as IAM (Institute of Asset Management) or RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) are desirable. Minimum of 3 years' experience in asset management, facilities, or property management.Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
