Job Description

Primary Responsibilities Assemble new pumps for original equipment (OE) and aftermarket orders, ensuring efficiency and adherence to work instructions. Dismantle, repair, and reassemble service pumps for OE and aftermarket orders while maintaining quality standards. Work within the assembly department to ensure cost-effective manufacturing while meeting quality requirements. Take responsibility for the quality of your work, including self-inspection and completion of all necessary documentation and checklists. Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other departments to resolve assembly-related issues, ensuring timely documentation and compliance with procedures. Assist in the preparation and updating of assembly documentation, tooling, and programs. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Provide on-site service support at customer locations as needed. Support company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Train and mentor peers and apprentices within the assembly department as required. Undertake additional training as needed to support professional development. Assist in the test area when necessary, including hydro, performance, noise, and vibration testing, as well as product setup and teardown according to work instructions. Perform additional duties as assigned in other areas when required. Qualifications & Experience Time-served Mechanical Fitter with up to three years of relevant experience, preferably in heavy manufacturing. Knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing techniques. Strong teamwork skills with a high level of energy and commitment to driving change.
