Our student body includes individuals with dyslexia, developmental language disorder (DLD), and developmental coordination disorder (DCD). We are seeking a passionate and motivated Aspiring Psychologist to deliver personalized support and empower students to thrive.
Key Responsibilities of an Aspiring Psychologist - Aldershot:
Assist in delivering tailored educational support for students with specific learning difficulties
Support students in developing their academic skills, particularly in literacy, language, and motor coordination.
Work closely with teachers and the SEN (Special Educational Needs) team to implement individualized learning plans.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to enhance students' learning experiences.
Encourage social, emotional, and academic development in a nurturing environment.
Support students with classroom activities, assessments, and behavioral strategies.
Help track and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
Promote positive behavior and self-confidence in students.Qualities of an Aspiring Psychologist - Aldershot:
A recent Psychology graduate (or a degree in a related field) with a strong interest in educational psychology.
A genuine passion for supporting students with learning difficulties and developmental disorders.
Experience or a keen interest in working with students with dyslexia, DLD, DCD, or other specific learning difficulties.
Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for supporting learning and behavior in students with additional needs.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to helping students achieve their potential.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing education and training.
