Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Wickford, Essex
Salary/Benefits: £25k - £32k + Training & Benefits
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their team in the South East. You will be carrying out the bulk analysis of suspected ACM samples and identifying the presence and variant of asbestos. The company is well-regarded within the industry and able to offer fantastic further training opportunities. Candidates must be based around: Wickford, Basildon, Rayleigh, South Benfleet, Canvey Island, Billericay, Chelmsford, Southend-on-Sea, Tilbury, Grays, Rainham, Dagenham, Hornchurch, Romford, Barking, Ilford, Chigwell, Epping, Harlow, Erith, Sidcup, Bexleyheath, Dartford, Gravesend, Swanley, Bromley, Orpington.
Experience / Qualifications:
- You will have proven experience working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst within as UKAS accredited laboratory
- Qualified with the BOHS P401 qualification
- Good eye for detail and thorough approach
- Must be comfortable using IT software, and able to work across a range of internal databases
- Excellent written ability
- Thorough knowledge of industry guidelines
The Role:
- You will be undertaking the bulk analysis of ACM samples through PLM and stereo microscopy
- Accurately recording results of analysis and updating company records to reflect findings
- Completing company documentation and issuing certification to clients
- Maintaining standards within the laboratory
- Organising repairs and servicing of laboratory equipment
- Supporting the coordination team where required, to complete administrative tasks
- Working both independently and as part of a team
