Area Sales Manager - Waste Services
Location: Highlands, Scotland
Salary £35-45k (quarterly bonus scheme)

Specialising in the collection, transportation, treatment, recycling (where possible), and responsible disposal of waste, this company is committed to providing sustainable and environmentally friendly services to both commercial and residential clients.
We are currently on the lookout for an Area Sales Manager to join the team. In the role, you will play a key part in driving business growth by building and nurturing strong relationships with existing clients, as well as identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development: Identify and target new business opportunities to support the company's growth, with a focus on both the commercial and residential sectors
Account Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and long-term retention
Market Research: Conduct in-depth market analysis and monitor competitor activity to uncover trends and identify opportunities for business expansion
Proposal Development: Create and deliver bespoke proposals and quotations to prospective clients, ensuring their unique waste management needs are met
Collaboration: Partner closely with the operational team to ensure seamless service delivery and fulfilment of client requirements
Sales Strategy: Contribute to the creation and execution of effective sales strategies to meet and exceed company targets
Networking: Actively represent the company at industry events and develop a strong network of contacts within the sector
Reporting: Track sales performance and provide regular updates to senior management on progress towards achieving targetsKey Responsibilities:

Collaboration: Work closely with the operational team to ensure client requirements are met efficiently and effectively
Sales Strategy: Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies to meet company targets
Networking: Represent the company at industry events and build a strong network of contacts
Reporting: Track sales performance and provide regular updates to management on progress toward targets
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within the waste management or a related industry
Strong understanding of the waste management process, including transportation, recycling, and disposal
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients
A results-driven approach with a focus on achieving sales targets and contributing to company growth
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Full UK driving license (company car provided)
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in the environmental or sustainability sectors would be advantageous
Knowledge of relevant waste management regulations and industry standards
Experience using CRM systems to manage client relationships and sales pipeline
