Job Description
Outstanding opportunity for an Architectural Technologist to join one of the UK's most respected Architectural practices, to be based within their regional office in Birmingham city centre, West Midlands.
The practice have been established well over 30 years and have offices dotted throughout the UK and are consistently placed within the AJ100 list of practices year on year. The Birmingham studio is one of the smaller offices within the company with 7 people, but there are plans in place to double the headcount there within the next 12-18 months.
After being appointed on a high profile, large scale Commercial project, the Birmingham studio are now looking to appoint an Architectural Technologist with approx. 5 years of experience to join their growing team. With the company having clear plans for growth, this is a fantastic time to join as an Architectural Technologist, as you will essentially be growing with the office which could see you moving quickly into a senior level role.
The Birmingham studio work in a broad range of projects and sectors generally, but as mentioned above the main focus on this role will be on a large scale Commercial project they have recently been instructed on. It would be therefore highly advantageous for the Architectural Technologist for this role to have experience in this kind of area. This position would suit an Architectural Technologist with approx. 5 years of industry experience.
The practice use Revit as their main software package, so proficiency in this is essential.
Requirements of the Architectural Technologist as follows:
Possess a degree in Architectural Technology, or a HNC/HND in a related field.
At least 5 years of industry experience.
Experience of working in the Commercial sector.
Proficiency in AutoCAD & Revit software.
Based locally to Birmingham
Driving license would help.The practice offer hybrid working, usually 3 days in office and 2 working from home. However, in the first instance you will likely need to be in the office 5 days a week for the probation period, so Architects applying to this role should be based in, or within commuting distance, of Birmingham.
Salary in the region of £35,000-£40,000 dependent on experience will be offered to the successful Architectural Technologist.
