Are you a dedicated Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) looking for a rewarding role in Swindon? We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our dynamic mental health team, supporting individuals in crisis and ensuring the highest standards of care.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Conduct Mental Health Act (MHA) assessments, ensuring compliance with legal frameworks and best practices.
* Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including social workers, psychiatrists, and healthcare professionals.
* Provide expert guidance on mental health legislation and safeguard vulnerable individuals.
* Make informed decisions on hospital admissions, alternative care, and support plans.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with professional and legal requirements.
Requirements:
✔️ Qualified Social Worker, Nurse, or Occupational Therapist with AMHP status.
✔️ Current AMHP registration with relevant regulatory body (Social Work England, NMC, or HCPC).
✔️ Experience in mental health crisis work and MHA assessments.
✔️ Strong knowledge of mental health legislation and safeguarding protocols.
✔️ Excellent decision-making, communication, and risk assessment skills.
