Air Import Operator – West London – £28,000 - £30,000 Per Annum
Air Import Operator Package Overview:
* Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience)
* Hours: Full-time, Permanent, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30, with one Saturday morning per month
* Location: Based in West London
* Commutable from Ashford, Feltham, Sunbury-on-Thames & Hounslow

Air Import Operator – Role and Responsibilities:
* Manage Air Import Shipments: Coordinate the air import process from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
* Customs Compliance: Handle the preparation and submission of import customs declarations (CDS), ensuring full compliance with regulations.
* Liaise with Suppliers and Clients: Work with overseas agents, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues during transit.
* Documentation Management: Prepare and review key import documents such as air waybills, invoices, and customs paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Problem Resolution: Address any issues or delays during the import process, ensuring the shipment reaches its destination on time.
* Client Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipment status and resolving any customer concerns.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment records for internal tracking and reporting purposes.
* Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the air import process and suggest ways to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and streamlined operations across departments.
* Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on industry regulations and best practices in air import logistics.
Air Import Operator – Skills and Experience:
* Essential Experience: Previous experience in air import operations, particularly with Customs Declaration Service (CDS), is required.
* Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, especially when dealing with import documentation and compliance.
* Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently, keeping shipments on track.
* Software Proficiency: Comfortable using logistics management software and tools to track shipments and manage documentation.
* Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members and departments.
* Flexible and Reliable: Willingness to work the occasional Saturday morning and adapt to changing needs within the business.
