About the Company:
Our client is looking for an experienced Project manager, with a comprehensive knowledge of Air Conditioning (AC) systems, to oversee delivery and maintenance contracts.
The company provides multi-technical services across the UK, with a wide range of expertise in this field. Good financial skills are needed in this role, as you’ll be managing M&E contracts for the company in the region, focusing mainly on AC, managing a team of engineers.
About the role:
As a Project Manager specializing in air conditioning, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of multiple projects within our air conditioning division. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Manage the self-delivery of all Air Conditioning & Refrigeration services across the south of the UK, ensuring all available resources work in a collaborative manner
Be accountable for the financial performance of the contract
Project Manager will coordinate with project stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are understood and executed effectively
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
Work with the mobile teams in planning, implementing and monitoring the standards of all works relating to the PPM schedule and reactive works
Project Manager will work with the operational and support teams to ensure all completion times for planned, corrective and reactive works are correctly logged and recorded within the company’s asset management system
Review contract documents and specifications to understand project scope, deliverables, and contractual obligations
Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions throughout the project lifecycle.
Negotiate contract terms with subcontractors and vendors to achieve favourable outcomes for the companyAbout the Candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Proven experience working as a Project Manager within M&E contracting industry, with a focus on air conditioning projects
Strong understanding of air conditioning systems, technologies, and installation practices
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Solid knowledge of contract administration, including contract negotiation and interpretation
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP)
Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., HVAC codes, OSHA)Before You Apply
