Job Title: Adult Skills Tutor
Location: Croydon
Salary: £29,000 - £34,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Role Overview:
Are you passionate about empowering individuals with employability skills and digital literacy? Our client, a leading vocational training, skills, and employability provider, is seeking a dynamic Vocational Tutor to join their team in Croydon. This role involves delivering a range of courses funded by the Adult Education Budget (AEB), including Employability, Functional Skills, Digital Skills, and other vocational courses. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting learners to achieve Level 1 and 2 qualifications, preparing them for success in the job market.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop engaging lesson plans, timetables, and resources tailored to AEB learners.
· Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across Employability, Functional Skills, Digital Skills, and other vocational courses.
· Motivate and inspire learners, promoting active participation and achievement.
· Facilitate Sector Based Work Academy Programmes to introduce learners to job and apprenticeship roles in relevant sectors.
· Embed information, advice, and guidance into teaching sessions to support learners' progression pathways.
· Utilize digital platforms such as One File (e-portfolio) and similar platforms
Essential/Desirable Requirements:
· Experience working on ESFA/devolved Adult Education Budget schemes for the unemployed/NEETs.
· Qualified Trainer/Tutor with a minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
· Assessors qualification or willingness to work towards.
· Experience teaching unemployed learners and delivering digital skills, employability, and environmental qualifications.
· Knowledge of the Ofsted EIF (Education Inspection Framework) and experience using e-portfolios.
· Ability to provide careers advice and information, advice, and guidance (IAG).
· Capacity to work under pressure with rolling monthly cohorts of starts
